GAO Calls for CSB Management, Oversight Improvement
The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) released the results of a performance audit of the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB), concluding that CSB needs to make improvements in its management and oversight, among other recommendations.
OSHA Seeks Approval for Proposed Rule on PPE Standards Violations
OSHA is accepting public comments on a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on PPE and training standards. The proposal clarifies that when an OSHA standard requires an employer to provide PPE, such as respirators or training, each employee not protected may be considered a separate violation for penalty purposes.
